3 Studies: Soy protein, isoflavones and resveratrol reduce fat
Three new studies show that nutrients from fruits and vegetables helped cut fat.
In a soy protein study, 15 obese, post-menopausal women, average age 56, drank a liquid meal containing 20 grams of soy protein with 160 mg of soy isoflavones per day or a placebo. After three months, although none of the women lost weight, those who drank the soy shake had lost an average of about 6 square inches of abdominal fat while those in the placebo group had gained 9 square inches of abdominal fat. Doctors do not know how soy cuts fat, but suggested that isoflavones may keep fat cells from building up.

Hi, Kathy!
I am trying the resveratrol and soy isoflavones, too! Today was my first day. I am diabetic, and my blood sugar is much lower after I took them. That should translate into weight loss!

MyRandomBlog.com Experience: Good week! Resveratrol and Soy Isoflavones
So after a week of eating healthy, counting calories, light exercise and taking the Soy Isoflavones and Resveratrol I’ve lost 12 pounds! Holy crap. I don’t think I’ve ever lost that much in a week. I’m very impressed. I hope it keeps up like this and I’ll be done before I know it. Just an FYI, there was a warning in the article I read that said if you’re at risk for breast cancer than you shouldn’t take these supplements, so don’t take these on my word. It just happens to be working for me and I’m not at risk. I can’t wait to see what happens next week! . . .

I ran across your blog after I googled quercetin, resveratrol and soy isoflavones. I’m still a bit skeptical, seeing that I’ve been on about two billion weight loss programs. However, in five days since I started taking the supplements, without diet modification or exercise, I’ve lost four pounds.
Please keep posting with your progress on this…I’d like to hear how you’re doing.

Congrats! I just started taking the supplements myself, so far it’s been 3 days. With Calorie counting and exercise I definitely feel a difference. My shirts feel much looser. I know it’s crazy to think that after only 3 days there could be a difference. But I really think there is.

- 4 Weeks Already – Soy Isoflavones and Resveratrol
Four weeks on Soy Isoflavones and Resveratrol in combo with my new healthy eating habits seems to have paid off well with a weight loss of 20 lbs. I’m very happy about this amount. I think it’s pretty damn good for a month. I’m sure this would/could have been more if I had stuck with it properly during the third week. Unfortunately I forgot to take my supplements about three or four days that week and didn’t really lose anything. And I also ate some meals that were to high in calories for my daily consumption. Luckily I didn’t gain anything.

- Hey! It’s the beginning of a new week!!
So, in case anyone was curious, I’ve lost a total of 30.6 lbs since 5/20/08. This is the week that I incorporate more monounsaturated fats into my diet. I’m excited to see a boost in weight loss this week. I’ll know on Sunday, that’s my weigh in day, if anything happened. I’m convinced that the soy isoflavones and resveratrol are working because I’ve been terrible at keeping track of my caloric intake lately but I’m still losing.
