Free Diet Meal Plan: Doctor Mehmet Oz’s Guidelines

The Woman’s World magazine nutrition team created these 1,500-calorie menus following Dr. Oz’s guidelines. You can expect amazing hunger control. These menus are loaded with nutrients. Drink enough water to keep your mouth moist all day. As always, get a doctor’s okay before trying any new plan.

Free Diet Meal Plan: Breakfast Menus

Choose one daily:

1 cup oatmeal, 1/4 cup raisins, 1/4 cup diced apple, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
I cup fat-free milk

2 poached eggs, 1 oz mozzarilla and 2 tomato slices, 1 whole-wheat English muffin
1/2 grapefruit

___________

1 cup plain low-fat yogurt, 1 cup diced fresh fruit, 1/2 cup bran flake cereal
1 slice whole-wheat toast, 1 tsp. natural peanut butter

Free Diet Meal Plan: Lunch Menus

Choose one daily:

2 oz. lean deli meat, 1 oz. low-fat cheese, 1 tsp. lite mayo, lettuce and tomato on 2 slices whole-wheat bread
1 cup soup (90 calories or less)
1 kiwi fruit

1/2 cup water-packed tuna, 2 tsp. lite mayo, 2 Tbs. each bell pepper, celery and onion
1 whole-wheat pita
1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1 Tbs. raisins, 2 tsp. almonds

2 oz grilled chicken breast, 2 oz. low-fat cheese, 3 cups mixed baby spinach salad, 2 Tbs. balsamic vinegar and 2 tsp. olive oil
2 whole-wheat crackers
1 tangerine

Free Diet Meal Plan: Dinner Menus

Choose one daily:

3 oz. broiled sirloin steak, 2 Tbs. steak sauce
1 small baked potato with 1 tsp. margarine and 2 Tbs. low-fat cheese
1 cup steamed broccoli

Easy Winter Soup

  • Combine 3 oz. cooked chicken, lean meat, shrimp or tofu with 2 cups fat-free broth, unlimited chopped vegetables, 1/4 cup canned beans; simmer about 20 minutes or until veggies are tender
  • 1 whole-wheat roll

3 oz. grilled salmon
1 cup whole-grain pilaf (from packaged mix)
2 cups mixed baby spinach salad, 2 Tbs. fat-free dressing

100-calorie pack of almonds
10 baby carrots or 1/2 apple

1 hard-boiled egg
1/2 cup grapes

1 cup light yogurt
1/2 pear

8 baked tortilla chips
2 Tbs. salsa
1 Tbs. guacamole
